Haut lieu de la randonnée pédestre, le parc national de la Gaspésie donne accès à un environnement montagnard exceptionnel. Les monts Chic-Chocs et McGerrigle traversent le parc. Parmi eux se trouve le mont Jacques-Cartier, le deuxième plus haut sommet du Québec. L'altitude de ces montagnes influence profondément le climat qui modèle tout le paysage et crée une diversité d'espèces unique au Québec et même au monde. Plantes arctiques-alpines et paysages de toundra constituent l'habitat d'un troupeau de caribous des bois, derniers représentants de cette espèce au sud du fleuve Saint-Laurent.

Les coordonnées ci dessus vous mèneront à l'entrée du Parc, au centre des visiteurs, lieu de passage obligé pour s'acquitter du droit de passage.

Attention, le parc n'est pas ouvert toute l'année !

A hiking hotspot, Parc national de la Gaspésie gives visitors access to an extraordinary mountain environment. The Chic-Chocs and McGerrigle Mountains cross the park. Among them, Mont Jacques Cartier is the second highest peak in Québec. The altitude of these mountains deeply influences the climate that moulds the landscape and creates a diversity of species unique to Québec, and even the world. Arctic-alpine plants and tundra landscapes form a habitat for a herd of woodland caribou, the last representatives of this species south of the St. Lawrence.

The given coordinates will lead you to the entrance (visitors center), where you can have informations and pay the entrance fees.

Attention, the park is not opened all the year !
