The falls are located in the Yarrunga Creek Valley which is part of the national park. The sides of the valley are very steep & thickly forested & there are no tracks to the falls or down into this part of the valley.
I took photographs of the falls from Starkeys & Renown Lookouts, both of which afford fine views. There are a series of cascades & minor falls below the major falls (Fitzroy Falls) before the waters of the creek plunge over Lady Hordern Falls. The waters then eventually flow into the Shoalhaven River.
Lady Hordern Falls are named after Charlotte Isabel Hordern died 1952 wife of famous Australian Anthony Hordern (1889 - 1970) noted grazier & stockbreeder. Lady Hordern was a foundation trustee in 1938 of Morton National Park.
