Saint John the Baptist Church - Dodworth, Barnsley - This Old Church on Waymarking.com

The church is in Dodworth, Barnsley. The main industry was coal mining with many pits in the area. These have now long gone.

Church is stone built, solid and well kept. GradeII listed, web link below. The churchyard is large, nearly all the older headstones have been laid flat. A further newer area has been opened for the resting place for ashes along with marker stones. Bell tower has one bell installed, no clock.
