This baggage car was built as a postal storage car by the America Car & Foundry in October 1949. The car was one of eleven cars in the order. The car is constructed lightweight steel and aluminum. It was assigned MOW service in April 1969 and renumbered UP 24436. It was renumbered again in 1975 to UP 904236. The car was donated to the museum by Union Pacific in 1988 and the car was repainted to the current scheme in 1990.
