The building was constructed in 1928. The three-story building was constructed with storefronts on the first floor and lodge facilities for both the Odd Fellows and the Knights of Pythias above. On the cornice of the building are blocks inscribed "IOOF" and "KP."
There is an active Odd Fellows organization in Poplar Bluff but they meet at a different location.
The building is a contributing building in the Poplar Bluff Commercial Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
