This Harris Harvester, built in 1920, is part of the Klamath Basin farming legacy that began in the 1860s. The Harris 18' Giant Harvester was built in Stockton, CA and stayed in production for over 20 years. A crew of 5 to 6 harvested Hanchen barley using this Harris harvester. Klamath Basin farming began over 130 years ago, but really began to grow after the first allotment of land to homesteaders in 1917.

This site made possible by Tulelake Rotary and the Crawford Family.
