This trail register is .2 miles west of South Rd, Caroline, NY in the Shandigan Hollow State Forest along the Finger Lakes Trail. It has an attractive wood duck head burned into the door of the box!

I hiked this section of the trail (M18) in 2012, so I didn't sign the log again when I came back to waymark this a year later. The .6 miles west of South Rd have many sights to recommend it, which you will see if you are interested in visiting all the waymarks posted (cairn, Leanto, bivouac site, outhouse). When I walked through most recently, there were at least a half dozen mushroom species and a rare colorless floor nicknamed the ghost flower. Take a short walk, and enjoy!
The nearest cache on the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) (verses the bike trails nearby) is a mystery cache, so you need to do some prep work if you want to geocacher on top of all the Waymarking.
