This location was originally at the site of the City's Western Gate.
After the city's defences were disbanded in the 1850s the area was used to hold The Nordic Exhibition of 1872 and later the Nordic Exhibition of 1888.
After the 2nd exhibition closed the area was used to construct a new City Hall and the area outside it, Radhusplasden became the most important public square in Copenhagen.
The square is often used as a central datum for measuring distances from Copenhagen and indeed there is a 4 foot high milestone in the square with distances to the main cities of Denmark.
Radhusplasden is the most expensive location on the board.
