Eine Sonnenuhr zeigt die wahre Sonnenzeit an. Sie besteht aus einem parallel zur Erdachse stehenden Stab und aus einer Platte, die waagerecht/parallel zur Äquatorebene steht. Der Schattenstab (Gnomon) der auf den Polarsten zeigt, wirft seinen Schatten auf das Zifferblatt, von dem die Zeit abgelesen werden kann.

A sundial indicates the true solar time. She exists of a stick standing in parallel with earth axis and of a record which stands scales-right / parallel to the equator level. The shadow stick (Gnomon) that shows zo the polar star, throws his shade on the dial in which the time can be read.
