Capital Baptist church is located in the Lansing neighborhood in northeast Salem. The church congregation dates to at least the 1950s. The main structure, features a prominent steeple and a four-pane stained glass window. Some additional outbuildings complete the campus.

The church is active in missionary outreach, offers Sunday school for children and adults, and Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the summer.
