One of the strong supporters of the Dakota Territory Air Museum is a collector of vintage fire fighting vehicles. And there is enough room in the restoration shop at the museum to allow the public to view these beautifully restored pieces of equipment.

Aerial trucks, or 'ladders' as they were typically called, probably fired the imagination of young boys and motivated their desires to be firemen when they grew up. The fireman steering the rear of these long trucks looked like the most exciting job in the world. This truck comes equipped with the 'Browder Lifesaving Machine', the collapsible trampoline that firemen unfolded and held to catch people who were forced to jump from a burning high-rise.
