This French Renaissance residence was built in 1926 for David and Beryl Eyre. It originally was located on what is now the Capitol Mall at 370 Summer Street but was relocated when the Oregon Department of Transportation Building was constructed around 1950. The house was designed by Clarence L. Smith, a noted Salem architect, for David and Beryl Eyre. Mr. Eyre was Vice President of Ladd & Bush Bank.
