A79-638 was one of over 200 hundred australian built Vampires to be delivered to the R.A.A.F. in the late 1950's. This aircraft was used at Pearce Air Base at the flight training school til being decommissioned in January 1970. It is now on permanent display outside the entrance to Beverley Aeronautical Museum
