The Desert O is a 6-foot ring with a with a steel skeleton inside and translucent frosted acrylic on the exterior. Inside the sculpture are light emitting diode lights of different colors which shine brightly through the acrylic panels. The LEDs are powered by a solar panel which recharges the battery the lights are connected. The light are of different colors and the viewer can change the color by pressing a "secret" button.
