This piece of Old Agricultural Equipment is on display in an improvised quasi-museum called Patton's Corner along a well-traveled route used by tourists to visit the covered bridges for which Parke County is famous.

A local farmer, probably with the last name of Patton, has become a magnet for all of the old agricultural implements and tools that other farmers in the area want to clear off their land. So he has improvised this display for passing tourists to stop and view.

This is the second implement of this type at this location. They are obviously different models and probably different manufacturers.

This small seed drill was probably used to plant small plots of truck-farm types of produce such as carrots, radishes, green onions, and herbs. The shield in front smoothed out the surface, the feed tubes transferred metered streams of seeds into furrows freshly made by the feed tubes, and the canted wheels on the rear redistributed the soil to cover the seeds
