This is a busy country crossing of the border.
On the Missouri side there is a MISSOURI STATE LINE sign, a gas/con, and a sign indicating that State Secondary Route E is also known as Albert Brumley Memorial Highway. Albert E. Brumley, who lived near Powell, Missouri north of here near route E, wrote over 800 gospel songs, including the well-known favorite I'll Fly Away. (He is buried in Fox Cemetery east of Powell.)
On the Arkansas side there is no state line or welcome sign; there is an immediate split off of AR-94 (Pickens Road) to AR-340 (Lancashire Blvd), which heads west to Bella Vista. Or you can stay on AR-94 to Pea Ridge, which is not the site of the famous battle. To get to that, turn off of AR-94 in Pea Ridge onto AR-72, and take that east to US-62, then further east on US-62 to the National Battlefield.
