This siren is, as is often the case, right next to an old water tower. It is omnidirectional and still in working condition. Since I live about 6.4 miles away as the crow flies, and with various Ozark hills and valleys between the siren and my house, I am not sure if I have heard it before or not. I have heard sirens, other than our Washburn siren, when there was severe weather; and this may have been one of them that I heard. (I know I've heard the Exeter siren!)
