Cabrillo Bridge, an engineering landmark in itself, serves as a vehicular and pedestrian bridge near the Laurel Street entrance to Balboa Park. Looking north, one can see the famous San Diego Zoo. Looking south, one gets a nice view of downtown San Diego.
San Diego is the second largest city in California and the e8th largest in the nation. Balboa Park is its jewel asset. Downtown San Diego is a short walk from here.
State Route 163 runs through the park and under the bridge to downtown.
