The boat ramp is of cement construction & traverses Washerwomans Beach. The waters of the harbour are relatively protected however there are submerged rocks about 100 metres off shore from the ramp with a sign giving their location. Bendalong Boat Harbour is so named as during the nineteenth century there was a jetty allowing ships to load timber. The ramp is only a few hundred metres from the Tasman Sea.
The ramp has a parking area, picnic tables, bins & toilets nearby.
