This arch bridge in Laufen connects the historic center with the railway station and the quarters in the east of town.
A wooden bridge at this location was already documented in the 13th century. In 1689 it was replaced with a larger covered bridge, this bridge was damaged by floods several times and it had to be replaced with a metal bridge in 1897. The current bridge is from 1929. It is a concrete arch bridge, that is cased with local limestone to make it look like a stone bridge.
