Lovely little church where the WI had been selling cream teas just prior to my visit. After a nice cup of tea and a chat about Waymarking they were quite keen to show me this little treasure.
A little scratch dial by the rear door, with a hole in the wall where one would place a stick to act as gnomon. Whether or not there was originally a metal gnomon is unknown.

Norman in origin, the Church of St Michael and All Angels is built out of ironstone which has appealingly weathered over the centuries. The interior of the church contains a rare stone screen between the nave and chancel, and remains of 14 century stained glass. There are many gargoyles sitting on the tower.
Sundial Type: Scratch dial
