The frame dwelling at 214 N. Ash is located just northeast of the Guthrie downtown area. The home was constructed in 1902 and is part of the Guthrie Historic District (Page 16, Block 39, Lots 10-12 on the nomination form).

It is likely that the concrete upping stone in front of this home is from the same time frame as when the home was built. It is about a foot high and three feet long, with an iron ring imbedded. A short concrete path leads to it from the sidewalk.
