Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

The original Seven Wonders were introduced in the 5th century BC by Greek historian Herodotus.

Today, the Great Pyramids are the only one still remaining.

New7Wonders of the World

In 2000, a group called New Seven Wonders Foundation started an online voting process for seven wonders that are still standing.

While the whole process was quite controversial, we still think they came up with an interesting list:

Chichen Itza, Yucatán, Mexico Christ the Redeemer, Brazil Rome Colosseum, Italy

Great Wall of China, China Machu Picchu, Peru Petra, Jordan

Thinking that the New7Wonders list missed some of the most amazing features, Time Magazine published a list of the next seven:

Angkor Wat, Cambodia Acropolis, Greece Potala Palace, Tibet, China
