This is a second specimen of this type of planter drill here in Once Upon A Farm. Here it can be more clearly seen how the furrow maker at the front opened up the earth and the bulbs or sets came down the tube immediately into the furrow. The nubs on the wheel helped set the planted items firmly into the soil. The soil would then have to be dragged and compacted to complete the operation.
