Feb. 7, 1909; Jan. 16, 1920; Feb. 25, 1970 are the three dates. The Main regularly floods, and has for centuries. There are many high water marks along the riverfront and even on the buildings in the town. The 1909 flood was the highest flood ever during the 20th century, reaching the 760 cm level.
