The former South Fremantle Post Office was George Temple Poole and constructed of rendered limestone in the Federation Arts and Crafts style. The roof was originally shingled ,but is now terracota tiled. The Post Office had quarters for the post master and his family. The Post Office was built in 1896 and continued being used for that purpose until sold in 1985
The building is on the W.A Heritage Council Register and clssified by the National Trust
