The Brass Monkey was originally built as the Great Western Hotel in 1896 at the height of the West Australian gold rush. There are bars on all floors even a rooftop bar overlooking the City of Perth, as well as restaurants and a bottle shop
The Brass Monkey is one of the most photographed buildings in Western Australia especially when lit-up at night
