This Electric Locomotive was used in the Bonne Terre Mine or one of the other local lead mines when they were still operational. Built for low clearances in underground mines, these locomotives were often the largest piece of equipment in the mine. Being too large to fit on the average hoisting cage, they either had to be assembled underground or a special shaft sunk through which it could be lowered into its future home.
