The summit of Mount Nebo, in Mount Nebo State Park, is easily accessible by car and is located at 16728 West State Highway 155 about 7 miles west of Dardanelle, Arkansas.

This mountain rises abruptly for 1350 feet above the surrounding countryside to an elevation of 1800 feet. This provides for some spectacular views with no obstructing geology. Access to the peak is a short 7 mile trip from the nearby town of Dardanelle but 0.7 of a mile of the road is a steep grade with 9 sharp hairpin turns making it inaccessible for trailers over 24 feet long. The State Park has 14 fully furnished cabins for rent near the summit plus numerous camping areas and 14 miles of hiking/biking trails around the mountain. This is one of the few mountain summits in the world that is handicap accessible!!
