There is a large, mature oak to the left of the monument and nothing in front of the monument so I cannot be sure if this is the tree or not. Regardless, the old, small monument remains. The inscription reads:

In Memory Of

GEORGE WASHINGTON

This Tree Was Planted By The
Daughters of the Cincinnati
Bicentennial 1932

Location of the tree: Paoli Battlefield

Type of tree: Oak
