The Red House is flanked by to other buildings of the city hall complex, and serves as the south entrance. There is a small museum dedicated to the March 16, 1945 British fire bombing of the city in it. Above the date are several coats of arms. The facade of the building, which carries the date 1659 survived the fire storm resulting from the fire bomb attack. There are two arched entrances in the facade, the 16 is above one side, the 59 above the other.
