Located in South Heights Cemetery is a Veterans Memorial Garden which contains several bronze plaques, and twenty metal benches arranged in a memorial service setting.

At the south end of this area, this field gun stands as a momento of those who served in our Armed Forces. There is no marking or signage indicating the model of this gun. It has been painted green, and has two large pneumatic tires.

A plaque nearby reads:

This hallowed garden was enshrined
And dedicated, Thursday, the thirtieth
Day of May, in the year of our Lord,
Nineteen Hundred and sixty-eight---
To all our veterans, in all the services,
Especially those souls who gave their lives
To perpetuate the safety, peace and glory
Of the United States.
