The Brock family came to the area in about 1840. They established the post office and school. Later the cemetery became an unavoidable necessity. It was started on land just down from the school about 260 feet, and got its name from the school itself: Brock School Cemetery.
At the time of this posting FindAGrave only recorded 2 of the at least 3 burials here, missing the 2008 interment. (I may be wrong, but it looked like there were several much older grave markers here, perhaps difficult to read, for a total of about 8. I really don't think it was started in 1999!)
