On the east side of Green Hill Memorial Gardens is a veterans' memorial that stops you in your tracks. On a concrete patio amid the grave sites, a granite monument stands on a base of red brick and reads:

Of all Military Services
ARMY
NAVY
AIR FORCE
MARINES
COAST GUARD

Green Hill
Memorial Gardens

To the east of this monument, twelve steps lead to a large, elevated memorial on which fourteen black granite slabs are engraved with the names of the veterans being honored. Flying above these are the flags of the United States, the state of Oklahoma, and the black POW/MIA flag. This elevated area contains crypts with engraved stone fronts. A wrought iron fence is erected around the elevated area.
