Received from the Australian War Memorial in 1984
Received by the Rockhampton city council in 1984 from the Australian War Memorial in appreciation for the donation of a large colonial naval gun now on display in Canberra.
The cannon is within the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Rockhampton, along a path that leads up to the Anzac memorial. It has been painted pale green and all working mechanisms have been welded.
