Built in 1869 this church replaced a wooden octagonal church ( built in 1840) that stood close to the present building and has a historic past linked to the first settlers in the Swan Valley, many of whom are buried in the cemetery .
The first service at the old octagonal church was on 29th of Novenber 1840, the foundation stone was laid in 1868 and the first service at the present church was on 10th March 1869
