Frank Lloyd Wright began building this desert masterpiece in 1937 as his personal winter home, studio, and architectural campus. Over the next 20 years, he and his students added on to and tweaked buildings. Wright lived here in the winter until his death in 1957. Today, architecture students live here for 3-5 years while studying the designs of Wright in a working environment. A variety of tours of the complex are available. See website for tour information.
