Starting in 1919 this branch of the Bank of Hamilton served the bustling sawmill community of Port Hammond in Maple Ridge. By 1924 the Bank of Hamilton amalgamated with the Bank of Commerce. Then in the 1930s the ownership of this branch changed to the Bank of Montreal, which continued operations until the 1980s.

Today it serves as an accessory outlet for Haney Hawgs.
