Completed in 2012, the building serves as both city hall and the police headquarters, providing more than 5,600 square feet. The signage for the building reads "City Hall" but the door glass includes mention that the police are located here as well.

Gervais is a town of 2,464 people (2010 Census) in the mid-Willamette Valley, about 13 miles northeast of Salem, Oregon. The town was incorporated in 1874 and is named for Joseph Gervais, one of the first white settlers in the area.

In 1902, all but two of the town's businesses burned down as the town's fire department was unable to handle the blaze and by the time Salem and Portland fire fighters arrived, it was too late to prevent most of the damage, which ultimately was assessed at $100,000.

Visit Instructions:
To log a visit, you must post a photo of you in front of the building described, with your GPS in the photo. No drive by photos.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
