The Tower of Moricq, situated in the village of Moricq, dependent on the municipality of Angles, is the last existing vestige of fortifications dating the Middle Ages.
The building of the XVeme had for function to protect the port of Moricq which exported some wine, cereal and wood.
It is about a rectangular donjon among which three dimensions are practically identical (approximately 14,5 meters). The covered way in the top is endowed with machicolation with in angles is, South and western, bartizans. He's protected from the ditches from which the access was defended by a door with chicane and a pedestrian drawbridge.
La Tour de Moricq, située dans le village de Moricq, dépendant de la commune d'Angles, est le dernier vestige existant de fortifications datant du Moyen Âge.
L’édifice du XVeme avait pour fonction de protéger le port de Moricq qui exportait du vin, des céréales et du bois.
Il s’agit d’un donjon rectangulaire dont les trois dimensions sont pratiquement identiques (14,5 mètres environ). Le chemin de ronde dans la partie supérieure est doté de mâchicoulis avec aux angles est, sud et ouest, des échauguettes. Il était protégé des fossés dont l'accès était défendu par une porte à chicane et un pont-levis piétonnier.
