The Phoenicia Railroad Station was built for the Ulster and Delaware Railroad and is located near the village of Phoenicia. When the station was built there was five tracks. The single track still existing is used by the Catskill Mountain Railroad. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
The building was constructed in 1899, when the tracks were conversted from a narrower gauge to standard gauge tracks. The station handled the baggage, mail and passengers traffic in and out of Phoencia. Railway traffic ceased in 1954. The property was acquired by the Empire State Railway Museum in 1985 and has undergone careful restoration.
The building is a long, low one story building, rectangular in shape. It has a hip roof which has deep overhangs. The roof was originally sheathed in slate. The building today is very close to its original construction look and feel.
