This plaque is on the pavilion in the center of a four field softball complex in Maidu Regional Park. It reads:
This Sports Complex
dedicated to the memory of
Tom Denio
He touched the lives of many, both young and
old. In 1974 Tom was instrumental in bringing
Adult Slow-Pitch Softball to Roseville. In
addition to pitching for his Denio's Farmer's
Market sponsored team, he also provided
sponsorship for teams in Little League, Bobby
Sox and Soccer.
Tom was involved with local civic and service
organizations as well as serving on various
boards and commissions. He also played a
major role in the managing of Denio's
Roseville Farmer's Market and Auction.
Tom will long be remembered for his warm,
outgoing nature, his sense of humor and his
commitment to working for the betterment of
the community in which he grew up.
