This museum used to be housed in an early schoolhouse in the village. It is now located in the old Gold Seal winery - an airplane hanger-sized building, very much suited for displaying this collection!

Glenn Curtiss was a contemporary of the Wright brothers. Many of the planes he designed were for military use, so much so that he was named the "Father of Naval Aviation". This is exemplified by the static display outside the museum: a 1943 C-46 Commando. His first officially-observed flight (July 4, 1908) was 1 kilometer long in the "June Bug", a biplane much like the one the Wright brothers flew at Kittyhawk . A total of 22 original and reproductions are on-site. At least one additional original craft (the Ohm Special) belonging to this museum can be found at the Rochester International Airport (
