The M103 heavy tank was used by the US Army and the Marine Corps from 1953-1974. Depending on which source you read, the M103 was either a great tank that did the job it was designed for very well, or a failed tank that was the Edsel of the tank world.
Mama Blaster's daddy was a LTC in the 49th Armored Division of the USAR, who served as a tank commander on active duty during the Berlin Crisis. I think I recall him saying that he drove these in Germany.
