200, 202 W. Miner St. When the Baldwin Block was completed in 1882 by Jennie B. Nichols, it was immediately sold and rented to a number of dissimilar businesses including a dry goods store, and a beer hall and restaurant. After 1900, this section provided a suitable location for an automobile dealership with the salesroom on the main floor and car repair in the basement. In the late 1920s, after two fires in the building, a firewall was put up dividing the large interior into two store spaces. Again, a diverse array of businesses opened and closed through the years, giving the structure a rich history in merchandising.
