The Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Pureza is located in the area of the Lajido, the parish of Santa Luzia, municipality of São Roque do Pico. This chapel whose construction dates back to the 17th is a century is a rectangular building and dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Pureza (Our Lady of Purity).
The rectangular main façade is divided into two parts, separated horizontally by a rock band that matches the lintel of the doorway and is surmounted by a window. In the upper corners there are two openings where the bells are located. The building is of stone masonry, the main and side façades are plastered and whitewashed, except punch, wedges, band, cornice and mouldings of the spans. The façade is topped by a cross.
