"Trata-se de uma pequena ponte com dois arcos, de tabuleiro ligeiramente arqueado, permitindo a travessia do Selho na freguesia de Fermentões.
Esta ponte localiza-se na antiga estrada que, vindo de Guimarães, seguia até Braga. Um pouco mais a norte da ponte, os viajantes deveriam decidir que via tomar. Se transportassem carga pesada, poderiam seguir para Oeste, até à Ponte de Campelos e, aí, atravessar o Ave. Caso contrário, poderiam seguir até à zona da Ínsua e atravessar o rio Ave numa barca."
