In 1972 the Kiwanis Club of Geistown - Richland dedicated the Kiwanis Memorial Park to Veterans along Theatre Drive in Richland Township. The centerpiece of the park is a statue of a Vietnam era soldier holding a child that was sculpted by Vincent Illiuzzi. The June 2, 1974 dedication ceremony featured a recently elected Congressman John P. "Jack" Murtha as the keynote speaker in his fourth month in office.
The club is now called Johnstown East Hills and there is a sign stating this. The Kiwanis Club hosts several events on their small tract of property including a annual Easter egg hunt, among other service-oriented projects in the East Hills Community.
