Added to the south end of Nelson's Historic No. 1 firehall is a small museum which houses, among other things, two 1944 Bickle Seagrave Fire Trucks, one a pumper, the other an aerial, or ladder, truck.

The two were once front line fighters for the Nelson Fire Department. The pumper has been fully restored and the Aerial Truck, partially restored, awaits completion of restoration efforts.

They are both powered by Seagrave V-12 engines. Note the 2 spark plugs per cylinder, done back then to improve reliability, in case one magneto should fail on the way to a blaze.
