Twin Peaks Park is near the geographic center of San Francisco. The two peaks are over 900-feet high, the second highest points in San Francisco. A beautiful observation area overlooking San Francisco can be found at the park. With clear weather, you can see both the Golden Gate Bridge and the west span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. In the distance one can see Alcatraz and the city of Berkeley across the bay. Whether it's daytime or
nighttime, the view from San Francisco's second highest point is magnificent.
To get to Twin Peaks Park from downtown, take Market Street away from the bay and Ferry Building. As Market street changes from a straight thoroughfare to a curved road near the park, the street name change to Portola Drive. Make a sharp right turn onto Twin Peaks Boulevard and follow the road to the peaks.
From the park, one can position themselves so that the view is straight down Market Street to the Ferry Building.
